He is survived by: his children, Chris Sims (Lisa), Blake Sims (Amber Gordon) and Ashley Day; and his grandchildren, Ryan Sims, Raegyn Sims, Nolan Sims, Aubrey Sims, Aiden Day and Deaglán Day.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM and from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
