He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Oscar Jacobs and Beulah Mince Jacobs; his wife Jessie Mae Boyd Jacobs; and his siblings, Willard Jacobs and Margie Wells.
He is survived by: his children, Jerome Jacobs, Oscar Jacobs (Stephanie), Sadie Roney (James) and Tessie Steverson; his sisters, Ruby Lytle and Faye Mason; and his grandchildren, Larry Eldridge, Nathan Jacobs, Nick Cotillo (Camera), Josh Jacobs, Cherie Allen, Kayla Jacobs, Cameron Jacobs, Katie German (David) and Olivia Boatright (Peyton). He is also survived by eighteen great grandchildren, along with many friends.
