He was predeceased by: his parents, Travis Hughes and Ida Lee Hughes; and his wife Carleene Hughes. He is survived by: his daughter Rhonda Jowers; his grandchildren, Chistina Jones (Mike), Ashton and Adyson Jones; his sister Ann Stewart (Wesley); and his sisters-in-law, Betty Joyce Gunter, Era Jo Holmes and Katie Hughes.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Southern Heritage Funeral Home (1000 Hodgesville Rd, Dothan, AL 36301). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at the Memphis Baptist Church (4595 Eddins Rd, Dothan, AL 36301).
