We are sad to announce that, on January 20, 2026, at the age of 93, James Virgil Hollon Jr. (Dothan, Alabama) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Virgil Hollon, Sr. and Margaret Hollon; his former wife Patsy Irene Castleberry Hollon; his son Freddy Hollon; his brother Bobby Dean Hollon; his son-in-law Robert Goodson; and his great grandchild Addison Allen.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Hollon; his children, Rodger Hollon (Dianne) and Connie Goodson; and his stepson Rusty Foster (Pam). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
