He was predeceased by: his father Dalton Odom; his son James Odom Jr.; his grandchildren, Shawn Odom and Aimee Waller; and his brother Howard Odom.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Garris Odom; his children, Scott Odom (Cindy), Mitchell Odom (Rachel) and Tamara Andrews; his siblings, Larry Odom (Sandra), Richard Odom (Brenda) and Elizabeth Bean (Bob); his grandchildren, Alaina Odom, Pearce Odom, Cheyenne Odom, Kiara Odom, Ashton Odom and Jade Odom; and his great grandchild Aidan Andrews. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
