He was predeceased by: his parents, Ressie Bayne Chancey and Amos Chancey; and his grandson Branden Chancey. He is survived by: his wife Norma Ruth Danzey Chancey; his children, Linda Darlene Murray (Jim), Cynthia Hurst (John), Beverly Watola (Chris), John Alfred Chancey, Jr. and Michael Chancey (Wendy); his grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew, Amber, Christopher, Jonathan, Rachel, Ashley and Casey; and his siblings, Melissa Key and Lamar Chancey (Lynne). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
