He was predeceased by: his parents, John Chance and Carrie Johnson Chance; and his siblings, C. W. Chance and Oberen Jones. He is survived by: his son Richard Chance (Elizabeth) of Headland, Alabama; the mother of his child Sara Cole Chance; and his niece Barbara Ann Ellis.
