It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Johnnie Lee Walden of Dothan, Alabama, born in Houston, Alabama, who passed away on August 31, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Jones and Zelma Ortiz Granger; her husband Hubert Walden; her son Richard Walden; her grandson Ricky Walden; her son-in-law Donald Hicks; and her sister Christine Hardison.

She is survived by: her daughters, Norma Taylor (Lloyd), JoAnne Hicks, Susan Cobb (Roger) and Chris Jenkins (Gary); her daughter-in-law Diane Hemby (Ronnie); her grandchildren, Jeff Taylor, Jon Taylor (Sheri Ann), Barry Hicks (Melanie), Ashley Hicks (Wendy), Clay Hicks (Whitney), Abbie Robinson (Colby), Scott Walden (Tara), Randy Walden (Denise), Shannon Martelli (Dave) and Jimmy Bass; her great grandchildren, Kylee, Tucker, Ashlyn of Emma, DJ, Bryson (Abby), Molly Grace, Waylon, Stella, Justin, Michael, Jordan, Logan, Colby and Victoria; her nephew Rodney Walden; her close friend Eloise Baxley; her caregivers, Jesslynn, Dana and Chaplain Darryl Bates; and also, Roger and Susan Cobb. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to American Cancer Society or Salvation Army.
