With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Edwin Mitchell of Dothan, Alabama, born in Selma, Alabama, who passed away on July 16, 2023 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Mitchell and Bonnie Grimes. He is survived by: his girlfriend Janie Woodall; his stepmother Joyce Mitchell; and his siblings, Jim Mitchell, Jeri Grissom (Larry), Gina Stanfield (Sam) and Joy Perkins (David). He is also survived by other family members and dear friends.
