It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joshua Earl Rose Jr. in Dothan, Alabama, who passed away on June 25, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joshua Earl Rose Sr. of Kinston, NC and Hannah Gray Rose Drake; his siblings, John Rose, Ava Gray Rose-Schmutz and Vernon "Vern" Rose; his son John Rose; and his grandchild Angel Durham.
He is survived by: his wife Helen C. Rose; his daughter Tammy Rose Durham (Dwayne) of Otto, NC; his grandchildren, Clinton Durham (Lauren), Debi Roland (Derek) and Anthony Ian Rose; his great grandchildren, Taylor Stamey, Madison Stamey, Jaxon Stamey, Judson Roland, Augustus "Banks" Roland, Zebediah "Zeb" Roland, Khloe Redoutey, Ivy Durham and Delaney Durham; his sisters, Sandra Rose-Ratz (Jim Morris) of Lake Worth, FL and Helen Rose of Newport News, VA; his sister-in-law Lana Creel Rose of Caryville, FL; and his nieces, Dana Murray and Lisa Simone (Stephen Bonanno) of Lynn Haven, FL..
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the James & Sikes Funeral Home (4278 Lafayette St, Marianna, FL 32446). A reception will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 2:00 PM at the First Historic Bank Cultural Facility (2873-2877 Caledonia St, Marianna, FL 32448).
