She was predeceased by: her parents, James Claude Hancock and Bessie Wisham Hancock Wingate; her husband Lamar Allen Thompson, Sr.; and her son-in-law Dorman Pynes. She is survived by: her children, Sheila Pynes, Lamar Allen Thompson, Jr. (Teresa) and George Mark Thompson; and her sister Nancy Horne. She is also survived by six grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
