We are sad to announce that on May 10, 2025, at the age of 88, Lillie Jane Brackin Adkinson (Dothan, Alabama) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lionel Brackin and Nelle Brackin; and her brother Carl Brackin. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Adkinson; her daughters, Lydia Johnson Simpson (Jimmy) of Marietta, Julie Johnson Jones (Stan) of Dothan and Amanda Johnson Suddoth (Scott) of Germantown, Tennessee; her stepchildren, Julie Steeves of Marietta, Jeff Adkinson (Suzanne) of Pansey and Jon Adkinson of Marietta, Georgia; her grandchildren, Kathryn Jane Simpson, Julia Brackin Simpson, Turner Jones (Mary Olivia), David Jones (Claire), Stanley Jones, Rush Jones (Olivia Rush), Alex Suddoth, Daniel Suddoth, Elizabeth Jane Suddoth (Andy Jones), Sarah Suddoth, Kate Steeves (Alex Dean), Alli Adkinson, Will Adkinson, Ty Adkinson, Tori Adkinson and Grey Adkinson; and her sisters-in-law, Dethalia Armstrong of Headland and Phyllis Brackin of Dothan. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the First United Methodist Church (1380 W Main St, Dothan, AL 36301). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the same location.
