With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Louise Thompson (Dothan, Alabama), born in Columbia, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 21, 2025 at the age of 103. She was predeceased by: her mother Emma Jane Daniels; her husband James "Shack" Thompson, Sr.; and her daughter Anita Louise Thompson. She is survived by: her children, James Thompson, Jr. (Altheda), Emily Faye Mullins and Patricia Dixon; and her grandchildren, Christopher Thompson (Sharlene), Felechia Hill (Gentry), Kenyetta Thompson, Jamillah Thompson (Monique), Brittany Dixon and Jaye Thompson. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Scott's Chapel Hill Mortuary (814 Headland Ave, Dothan, AL 36303). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church (2627 Kinsey Rd, Dothan, AL 36303). A burial was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at the Heaven Cemetery (2106 Starling Rd, Dothan, AL 36303).
