He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Wells and Johnnie Wells of Savannah, GA.. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Robinson; his sons, Alan (Stephanie) of Eufaula, AL, Richard (Jennifer) of Dothan, AL and Jason (Tammy) of Lexington, SC.; and his siblings, Ronnie Wells of Savannah, GA and Cindy Sutlive of Rincon, GA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
