It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Jean Stewart of Dothan, Alabama, born in Rossiter, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 4, 2023, at the age of 106, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Tony Sgro and Ester Sgro of Sicily; her sister Grace Buffa; her husband Lanier; and her children, Mary Karlene, Lanier Jr. and TruWanda.

She is survived by: her daughter LouWanda Mitchell (Larry); her grandchildren, Wendy Mitchell, Allen Mitchell (Paula), Bruce Mitchell and Samantha Wilcox (Dennis); her daughter-in-law Patti Stewart; and her children, Jeanetta Reston (Rodney), Jimmy Stewart (Donna), Ronnie and Johnnie.
