With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Mavis Gail Taylor of Dothan, Alabama, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Mavis left this world on October 8, 2025 at the age of 75, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Baker and Ruby Lee Hall Baker; her children, Randall Wayne Dansby, Candy Renee Dansby and Angela Faye Dansby; and her brother Jessie Wayne Baker.
She is survived by: her sons, William Morris Dansby of Eufaula, Barry Eugene Dansby (Renee) of Phenix City and Larry Gene Dansby of Birmingham; and her siblings, James David Baker (Susan) of Eufaula, Linda Joyce Williams of Dothan and Faye Baker of Baker Hill. She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and at 2:30 PM at the Glover Funeral Home Chapel (3121 S Eufaula Ave, Eufaula, AL 36027). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at 205 Gammage Rd, Eufaula, AL 36027.
