He was predeceased by : his parents, Bobby Dick Watson and Sue Carolyn Watson; and his brother Kenneth Eugene Watson. He is survived by : his wife Sheila Watson; his children, Ryan Watson (Megan), Natalie Solomon (Scott), Whitney Watson (Gaylon Hagerty), Erica Ingalls (George) and Pam Ivey; his grandchildren, Dillan, Ella Solomon, Jon Preston Ingalls and Jackson Ivey; and his brothers, Rick Watson (Kathy) and Chris Watson (Marie). He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home (2414 Hartford Hwy, Dothan, AL 36305). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

“We haven't seem Mike in a long time since we live so far apart, but great memories of Mike, Rick, Bobby and Carolyn will live with us forever. Mike was so good natured and always enjoyed life. It was a pleasure to just be around him. He will certainly be missed by us and we're sure by anyone who knew him.
