He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Sr. Kirkland and Evelyn Kirkland; his parents-in-law, Abner and Mary Miller; his brother Otis Kirkland Jr.; his nephew Thad Kirkland; and his siblings-in-law, Curtis Emerson, Carol Kirkland and Helen Ruth Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Kirkland; his children, Randall Newberry (Alice) and BJ Riday (Ryan); his sisters, Gloria White (Harold) of Slocomb, AL, Mary and Vivian Morrison (Billy) of Dothan, AL; and his aunt Quinque Donley. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, his adopted family the Ozbuns, and other close friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home (2414 Hartford Hwy, Dothan, AL 36305).
