He is survived by: his wife Ruth Avant; his son Scott Avant (Brandi); his grandchildren, Jeremy Avant (Lesley), Joshua Avant (Randi), Jason Avant (Meghan), Nick Avant, Jonathan Avant (Hannah) and Braelyn Scott Avant; his brother Jackie Avant; and his sister-in-law Martha Avant. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home and Crematory (1700 Barrington Rd, Midland City, AL 36350). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
