He was predeceased by: his parents, Lenny Paul and Lillian Lorane Smith Shirah; the mother of his children Mary Shirah; and his cousin Jannie Bell Monday. He is survived by: his wife Annette Shirah; and his children, Wendell Denham, Johnny Paul Shirah, Donnie Shirah (Mary), Earl Braswell (Barbara), Marie Martin, Theresa Marsh (Scott) and Sheila Lane (Robert). He is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren; fifty great grandchildren; fifteen great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Southern Heritage Funeral Home (1000 Hodgesville Rd, Dothan, AL 36301). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
