He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorenzo Dow Cauthen and Mary Lou Bodiford Cauthen of Honoraville, AL; and his brothers, Monroe Dowell Cauthen (Jo Cauthen) and Lawrence "Larry" Ernest Cauthen (Betty Cauthen). He is survived by: his wife Martha Dickey Cauthen of Dothan; his daughters, Karla Cauthen Miller (Phillip) of Nashville, TN and Jill Cauthen Pylant (Carl) of Dothan, AL; and his grandsons, Ethan Aubrey Pylant (Nashville) and Peyton Reid Pylant (Auburn). He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews.
