He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Benton and Ora Bell Benton; his wife Betty Enfinger; and his granddaughter Taylor. He is survived by: his children, Deborah Deal (Herbie) and Keith Benton (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Lindsey Shore (Justin) and Gracie Benton-Hart (Katlyn); and his great grandchildren, Mila and Niko Shore.
Raymon helped form the Benton/Hardy Softball Tournament that became an annual event in Dothan which brought together families to play as a team to benefit the charity. This tournament ran for over 20 years and at one time was the American Heart Association largest contributor in the state of Alabama.
