He was predeceased by: his parents, Fannie Lee Love Braswell and Lois Lee Braswell; his wife JoAnn McKnight Braswell; and his siblings, Jimmy Braswell, Johnny Braswell, Billy Herman Braswell, Mary Elizabeth Barwick, Glenda Faye Moxley and Carolyn Hughes Way.
He is survived by: his children, Russell Braswell (Cindy) of Birmingham, Alabama and Rena Miller (Charles) of Dothan, Alabama; and his siblings, Donald Lee Braswell (Lisa) of Laurens, Sandra K. Whitfield of Twin City and Linda Gail Rowland of Swainsboro, Georgia.. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Memory Hill Cemetery (2414 Hartford Hwy, Dothan, AL 36305).
