He was predeceased by: his son Robert Hazel; and his sisters, Sara and Joan. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Hazel; his children, Janice Blanton (Michael), Lori Hazel, James Richard Hazel (Shirley), Michael Hazel (Donna) and Derrick Hazel; his stepchildren, Angie Richardson and Bill Ward (Sara); and his sister Jean Kincaid. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
