He was predeceased by: his brothers, David Acker and Dan Acker. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Webster Acker; his daughters, Laura Acker Nelson (Wes Nelson) and Rebecca Acker Miner (Garth Miner); his brothers, Louis Acker (Allie) and Tom Acker (Dawn); his grandsons, Wesley Nelson (Cadie), James Nelson (Emma), Benjamin Falter (Kelly) and Daniel Falter (Kelsey); and his great grandchildren, Audrey Nelson, Mollie Nelson and Lucy Miner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home and Crematory (1700 Barrington Rd, Midland City, AL 36350). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Saint Columba Catholic Church (2700 W Main St, Dothan, AL 36301).
