It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Allen Rivers of Dothan, Alabama, born in Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on September 2, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Mae Rivers and Willene Coleman; and his wife Patricia Rivers. He is survived by: his children, Phyllis Williams (Horace) of Dothan, Alabama, LaRhonda Tyler (Joe) of Dothan, Alabama, Antoinett Mixon of Dothan, Alabama, Samantha Martin (Andre) of Dothan, Alabama, Patrick Bennet (Alaina) of Dothan, Alabama. and Richard Rivers (Nekina) of Dothan, Alabama.; his goddaughter Kathy Poke Cullins; and his siblings-in-law, David Godfrey, Johnny Godfrey and Anginette Green. He is also survived by his grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one great great grandson.
