He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father James Thompson; his brothers, James "Jim" Thompson (Jan) of Dothan, Danny Thompson of Dothan, John Thompson of Dothan and David Thompson (Stephanie); and his siblings' children, Mirna Thompson, Amadeua Thompson, Brenda Thompson and Matthew Hood.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Calendar Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home (508 Faust Ave, Ozark, AL 36360). A graveside service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Southside Baptist Church Cemetery (423 E Cottonwood Rd, Dothan, AL 36301).
