He was loved and cherished by many people including: his former wife Juanita Helmes; his sibling's children, Eugene Henderson, Linda Phillips and Rose Blount; his wife Winnie Pearl Henderson; his children, James Weems and Dr. Maranda Henderson Griffin; his son-in-law Eugene Griffin, Jr.; his niece Irish Henderson Edwards; and his grandchildren, Elijah Weems of Kenneth Brown, III and London Griffin. He was also cherished by his cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends.
