We announce the death of Robert Laster Sr. in Dothan, Alabama, born in Graceville, Florida, who passed away on October 27, 2026, at the age of 76. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Laster, Sr. and Essie Mae Russell Laster. He is survived by: his sons, Robert Ed Laster, Jr. of Graceville and Roderick Laster (Cassandra) of Marianna, Florida.; and his siblings, Elease Dixon of Graceville, Donna Hayes (Edward) of Noma, Debra Myrick (Eddie) of Graceville, Frank Laster (Cynthia) of Graceville, Jerry Laster (Christy) of Dothan, Chester Laster (Evella) of Graceville, John Laster (Doris) of Graceville, Dwight Laster of Graceville and Bernard Laster (Sonja) of Orlando, Florida.. He is also survived by numerous cousins, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the M. Sue & Rodney D. Pittman Chapel (5441 Cooper St, Graceville, FL 32440). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the New Easter Missionary Baptist Church (977 Hope Ave, Graceville, FL 32440). A committal service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Graceville Community Cemetery (5490 Jordon St, Graceville, FL 32440).
