He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Lee Jones and Ruth Bernice Scott Jones; and his brothers, Revel Jones and Houston Jones. He is survived by: his children, Eleanor Ruth Jones Ramer (Gerald) and James Royce Jones; his grandchildren, Blake Ramer, Zack Ramer, Priscilla White, Isabella Ramer, Will Jones and Haley Jones; and his sisters, Margaret Bramton of Bonifay, FL, Sybil Steverson of Bonifay, FL and Neva Kent (Sam) of Cottondale, FL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
