He is survived by: his children, Charlotte Brown (John) and Joseph Kirkland (Julie); his granddaughter Jaimee Shapiro (Justin); his great grandchild Stone Redding Shapiro; his sister Sylvia Yohe; and his caregiver Mary Freeman.
