It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Martin Atkinson of Dothan, Alabama, born in Little Rock, Arkansas, who passed away on December 22, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Martin and Roger Martin; and her sister Beth Dean. She is survived by: her children, Gordon Allen Atkinson, Jr. (Kay), Martin Elliott Atkinson, Clayton Williams Atkinson, Lauren Atkinson Clifton (Brad), Stuart Leland Atkinson and Todd Manning Atkinson (Colleen); her grandchildren, Clinton Elliott Atkinson (Jessica), Heather Atkinson Granger (Anthony), Lynsey Atkinson Cook, Gordon Allen Atkinson III, Audrey Atkinson Moreno (Daron), Kate Manning Atkinson and Stuart Leland Atkinson, Jr.; her siblings-in-law, Emily Atkinson Woods and Elliott Williams Atkinson, Jr. (Susan); and her caregivers, Mina Cataline-Brookshire, Roseline Thadal, Ann McKenzie and Marie Benjamin. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, numerous extended family and friends.
