He is survived by: his parents, Kenny Strops and Redonna Smith Thomas; his wife Katie Mitchell Smith; his children, Chaise Oden Smith and Michaela Ares Smith; his sisters, Amber Smith and Brianna Staples; his parents-in-law, Thomas E. Mitchell and June McMurphy; his aunt Jannas Winkler (Joe); and his cousin Heather Whril (Joshua). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.
