She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thomas and Myrtie Mae Dickey (Mills); her husband Jack Kirkland; and her children, Dana Henderson and Brian Kirkland.
She is survived by: her daughters, Pam Averett of Midland City and Debby Parrish (Denny) of Taylor. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church (2864 S Brannon Stand Rd, Dothan, AL 36305).
