He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Sidney and Wanda Ione Burch Poole; his brothers, Rueben Poole and Johnny Poole; and his brothers-in-law, Adger Thomas and Billy Andrews.

He is survived by: his wife Sue Andrews Poole; his daughters, Suzanne Holston (Rick) and Shannon Grammer (Andy); his grandchildren, Chloe Grammer, Katie Holston, Jeff Holston and Nick Grammer; his sister Joan Thomas; and his sisters-in-law, Pat Poole, Sherry Hoole (Jerry), Judy Roberts (Bill) and Charlotte Andrews. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cloverdale United Methodist Church or Pinckard Memorial Cemetery fund.
