He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Henry McCorkel and Edna Mae Godwin; and his siblings, Edna, Sue, Billy, Bobby, Jeff and Ron.
He is survived by: his wife Melba McCorkel of Dothan; his children, Eulene Whitaker (Dale) of Niceville and Ken McCorkel (Jessica) of Cowarts; his siblings, Mabel Graham of Largo, Eddie McCorkel (Sandy) of Live Oak and Donald McCorkel (Sue) of Ashford; his grandchildren, Carman Whitaker (Jessica), Sydney Wolford (Marcus), Kade, Owen, Anna and Evan; and his great grandchildren, Katarina Whitaker, Niklaus Whitaker and Jackson Wolford.
