She was predeceased by: her parents, James Pharoah Phillips and Bunie Beverett Phillips; her husband Alexander Cherry; and her siblings, Leila Phillips, Gayron Baxley and Kermit Phillips.
She is survived by: her children, Alexa Cherry Leatherwood (Mark) and Phillips D. Cherry (Tina); her grandchildren, Quintin Underwood (Mara), David Cherry and Jacob Cherry; her stepgrandchildren, Krystle Leatherwood and Jonathan Leatherwood; and her great grandchildren, Naomi Underwood and Tinley Singletary.
