We are sad to announce that on April 10, 2020, at the age of 86, Walter Kenneth Edwards (Dothan, Alabama), born in Pinckard, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Edwards and Lillian York Edwards; his wife Betty Smith Edwards; his brothers, Shellie Glen Edwards and Ronald Edwards; and his daughter-in-law Laura Edwards.

He is survived by: his children, Sandra Edwards Firestone (Michael), Rebecca Edwards Hollis (David) and Michael Edwards; his sister Lenore Smith; his sister-in-law Patricia Edwards; and his grandchildren, Brent Parker (April), Jennifer Barton (Matt), Heather Hamilton (Josh), Heath Firestone (Rachel), Chris Hollis (Elisha) and Joseph Hollis (Erica). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Due to the COVID-19 virus, a family graveside service will be held at 11:00 A. M. Monday, April 13, 2020, in Gardens of Memory, between Dothan and Headland, with Reverend Joey Hudspeth officiating.
