He was predeceased by: his father Joe Berry; his uncle Willie D. Lewis; his grandparents, Willie Harrison Lewis and Annie Lewis; and his aunts, Glenda McDaniel, Merlene Register and Wilma Powell.

He is survived by: his mother Jewell Berry; his siblings, Don Berry (Linda), Gail Monk (Jeff) and Sandy Roney (James); and his siblings' children, Jared Monk, Joseph Berry and Jessica Monk.
