With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wilford Frank Brown Jr. (Dothan, Alabama), born in Youngstown, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 17, 2025 at the age of 73. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilford Brown, Sr. and Edna Brown; his in-laws, Hosie Lee Gibbs (Doris) and Emma Gibbs; and his grandmother Ora "GiGi" Stone.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Brown; his grandchildren, Brandon Brown, Tiayon "Tia" Johnson, Tavia Stanford, Tyrin Brown, Areyon "Ari" Johnson of Tahja, Jaxon Brown and Boogie Brown; and his cousins, Adelle and Jerry (William Robinson). He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of God (504 Houston St, Dothan, AL 36303). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Funeral-Church of God in Christ.
