He is survived by: his wife Mary Tye Suggs; his children, Greg Suggs (Kim) of Phoenix, AZ and Dorothy Ruth Tye; his stepson Jason McSwain (Melissa); his brother Johnny Suggs (Olga); and his grandchildren, Josh Tye (Carrie), Greg Suggs (April), Christopher Suggs (Alisha), Jake Suggs (Meagan), Sean Suggs (Julie Woods), Angel Carter (Roy), Crystal Brown, Cliff Crapps (Mallory) and Breana Ingalls (John). He is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Northside Assembly of God (645 Roney Rd, Dothan, AL 36303). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Shorterville Baptist Church Cemetery (896 Co Rd 65, Shorterville, AL 36373).
