He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bill Thompson and Della Mae West Holland; and his siblings, Billy Joe Thompson, Jackie Randall Thompson, Jerome Thompson and Mabel Leroy.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Thompson of Rehobeth; his daughters, Lori Kirkland (Jerry) of Rehobeth, Keshia Thompson and Kyla Hill (Tony) of Wicksburg; his stepsons, Doug Cunningham (Dawn) of Donalsonville, GA. and Michael Cunningham (Terry) of Damascus, GA.; his sisters, Barbara Roberts of Dothan and Jean Smith of Dothan; and his grandchildren, Jerica Kirkland, Dylan Searcy, Tristan Hill, Makalah Hill, Eden Cunningham, Abi Smith, Jacob Cunningham, Colby Cunningham, Lilly Cunningham and Caleb Cunningham.
