She was predeceased by: her parents, William Arthur and Lucille Capps Hicks; and her daughter Malinda Carol Spann (Alex Horace Spann). She is survived by: her son Tom Spann (Sandra) of Dothan; and her siblings, Sara McCrary of Birmingham, Mary Jane Carter of Birmingham and Joe Hicks of Birmingham. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
