He was predeceased by: his parents, John West and Laura West; and his brother Bob West. He is survived by: his wife Virginia West; his children, Dianna Cole (Jeff) and Patrick West (Rhonda); his granddaughters, Candace Young (John), Anna Kate Campbell (Jordan) and Abby Collier (Hunter); and his great grandchildren, Nathan Young, Matthew Young and Lou Campbell.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Double Springs Church of Christ (1000 AL-195, Double Springs, AL 35553). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the West Fund at Double Springs Church of Christ or Double Springs Memorial (Cockrell West) Cemetery fund.
