He was predeceased by: his parents, JC Overton and Ruth Overton (McCrary); and his sibling Dorman D. Overton. He is survived by: his sisters, Wilma Townsend (Ray) and Linda Lepard (Ike McKenzie) of Bellevue; and his nephews, Earl Townsend and Larry Lepard (Stephanie).
Visitation was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Nichols Funeral Home - Haleyville (1607 11th Ave, Haleyville, AL 35565). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
