He was predeceased by: his son Mark O'Neal; his grandson Aaron Gay; and his siblings, John Wilson Sasser, Max Sasser, Henry Sasser, Alice MaCharge, Ruby Mansfield, Pierce Sasser and Mary Southern.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Sasser; his children, Jannie Smith of McKenzie, Christy Gay (Rex) of Andalusia, Chris O'Neal of Bessemer and Matthew O'Neal (Darcey); his siblings, H. J. Sasser and Audrey Sasser Flowers; his grandchildren, Jana Beck Grimes (J. J.), Andrew Beck (Ashley), Jerrod Beck (Samantha), Nichole Green, Jessica O'Neal, Jacob Lewis and Matthew O'Neal; and his great grandchildren, Jaden, J. T., Clara, Hunter, Hayden Beck, Saben, Jordan Little, Konner, Kylee Beck, Wyatt, Jace Beck, Alyssa Beck, Maebe and Jasper Lewis.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Keahey Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Old Union Cemetery.
