He is survived by: his wife Devon Akins Johnson; his children, Sharon Rae and James Michael Johnson (Kristy) of Lineville; his grandchildren, Caylon, Koby Johnson and Alexander James Short; his nephew Wayne Poe; his sister Barbara Sims of Jacksonville, AL.; and his parents, Leon Johnson and Eunice Luker Johnson.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Craig United Methodist Church (175 John Will Avenue, Eastaboga, AL 36260). A memorial service was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
