She was predeceased by: her parents, Irvin Welch and Ruth Boykin Welch; her siblings, Grace Foste, Lou Strickland, Janie Savell and Buddy Welch; Madelyn Welch.
She is survived by: her husband Leon; her children, Jay Cornelson and Tracy Cornelson Hill; her children-in-law, Walker Hill and Patty Cornelson; her grandchildren, Jesse Cornelson (Savannah), Sarah Hill Hassell (Nick), Hannah Hill Robertson (James) and Ruthie Hill; her half-sister Faye Klutz (Tom); her nieces and nephews, Gwen Foster, DeLynn Willis (Robert), Mike and Dwight Strickland; and her friends, Barbara Washam and Barbara Saunders.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Valhalla Funeral Home (8730 Sims Rd, Eight Mile, AL 36613). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Valhalla Chapel (8730 Sims Rd, Eight Mile, AL 36613). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at the Valhalla Memorial Gardens (8730 Sims Rd, Eight Mile, AL 36613).
