It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Peggy Lynn Jenkins (Eight Mile, Alabama), who passed away on June 20, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Monroe and Laura Mae Wilkerson; her son Shane Jenkins; and her siblings, Brenda Carol Russ and William Monroe Wilkerson.
She is survived by: her husband Homer Donald Jenkins; her siblings, Marie Graham (Gerald), Elizabeth Jenkins (George) and Archie Wilkerson (Mary); and her grandchildren, McKenna Johnson and Stevie Blaine Barnett. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Valhalla Funeral Home (8730 Sims Rd, Eight Mile, AL 36613). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Valhalla Chapel (8730 Sims Rd, Eight Mile, AL 36613). A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at the Valhalla Memorial Gardens (8730 Sims Rd, Eight Mile, AL 36613).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
