She was predeceased by : her husband Herbert "Hub" Ballard; her parents, Sam Carroll Strickland and Ida Bell Strickland; and her daughters, Helen and Glenda Sue Ballard.

She is survived by : her sons, Heath Ballard (Becky) of Opp, AL, Wayne Ballard of Elba, AL, Jacky Ballard (Annie Ruth) of Opp, AL and Dennis Ballard (Tammy) of Elba, AL. She is also survived by 9 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
